Success is a great achievement for both the attendee and the organizer. However, for an event to truly succeed, many challenges need to be addressed. Every event organizer knows that one of the most important issues is selling enough tickets and attracting the crowd.
I believe event organizers can relate when I say that organizing events on Facebook and reaching the target audience has been an unavoidable and unsolvable problem until now. Even though Facebook has a large user base, searching for and finding events there is often difficult.
Personally, I only come across interesting events when a friend marks themselves as “going” or “interested,” and it shows up in my feed. However, when I open the event search on Facebook, I often see events from other countries or ones that don’t match my interests at all. We’ve received similar feedback from market research and user interactions. This was one of the main reasons we created the already familiar Ela mobile app, which has received fantastic feedback.
One of Ela’s strengths compared to Facebook is its effective filtering system – you can search for events by category, location, and date.
We created the Ela Dashboard to help event organizers reach the thousands of users already enjoying the benefits of the Ela mobile app.
The Ela Dashboard is a tool through which event organizers can upload their events to the Ela app and monitor their performance.
From the dashboard, organizers can see analytics about their event:
- Detail Views – how many people have stayed on your event page for more than 3 seconds.
- Impressions – how many times your event has been shown to users.
- Going – how many people have indicated they will attend.
- Liked – how many have marked the event as liked or saved it.
- Share – how many times the event has been shared.
- Buy Tickets – if you’re selling tickets, we direct users to the link you provided, and you get information on how many people clicked on it.
Robust analytics help organizers make informed decisions about the progress of their event. For example, whether to increase the marketing budget, organize similar events in the future, or how to make the event’s information and program more accessible to attendees.
We have already tested the Ela Dashboard with several event organizers like TOPS and fabrik.trt. Britt Randma from Music Estonia describes it as follows:
“Simple, convenient, spot-on. Ela could be the go-to place for posting events instead of Facebook in the future.” – @britiimpeerium
The dashboard is just the beginning. In the future, we will support you with even more data points and work with you to improve the platform’s functionality, but more on that soon.
